daily moments – week 40 & 41

We celebrated Brooks this week, played soccer, said goodbye to Grammy and Papa after a quick visit, attended a Diwali party, and I finished up some work projects. Basically it was our typical busy and chaotic week.

Brooks is 8

This morning as Brooks woke me up at 5:15 and announced to the house it was his birthday I wanted to say a few words to him about selfishness. It reminded me of 8 years earlier when he did wake us up to come into the world at midnight. While I miss those baby days, I love what he is becoming.

daily moments -week 37

What a week. With Hurricane Irma hitting us on Monday we were out of school for three days and without power for 10 hours. We had a few big limbs down and leaves scattered around our yard otherwise that was the extent of the damage. Feeling lucky.

daily moments – week 36

This week we had the most incredible weather, partly due to the fact that there is a major hurricane headed our way in a few days. We made the most of every minute outside playing soccer, football, swimming, riding bikes, walking, and the playground. We’ve had a long Saturday at a birthday and two soccer games. I can hear Mark reading to the kids in the next room getting ready for an earlier-than-normal bedtime. We are both anxious to get them to bed, order food, and watch our newest Netflix show.

daily moments – week 33

This week’s post is short. Mostly its because I have other pictures to share but I haven’t edited them and they are on my big camera. It was back to school with the older two while Jonas hung with me. He begs to go to school every morning. Only 3 more weeks until he is back into a routine schedule – I think we are both excited.
